Leland (“Lee”) B. Goldberg
was Chapter 11 Chief
Executive Officer of
Seafood Shanty,
a 30 store chain in Philadelphia. He has also been the Chapter 11 Chief
Executive Officer of
Bess Eaton, a
35 store chain of coffee and doughnut shops in Providence, R.I. The chain
was sold as an ongoing business to
Tim Horton's
of
Canada through
a Section 363 bankruptcy sale. All creditors were paid in full. The story
of this successful 363 sale was a featured article in
Institutional Investor.
Mr. Goldberg was also the Chapter 11 Chief Executive Officer of
Newport Creamery,
a 20 store chain of family restaurants and ice cream distribution business
in Providence, R.I. His role in uncovering a major fraud in this business
was written up as a Harvard Business School case study.
