Dennis R. Brink

Dennis R. Brink is a seasoned senior financial and operations executive with an in-depth background in both Fortune 500 and multinational companies as well as several years as a senior consultant in business turnarounds, restructurings and strategic growth environments.  The industry breadth of his experience encompasses capital equipment to consumer products and services, as well as reengineering, acquisitions, divestitures and refinancings.  His experience has included major roles in the U.S., Europe, North Africa, Japan and Mexico.

Brink’s consulting career has included clients ranging from $10 million to over $700 million.  Brink’s particular skills include operations management, strategic planning, cost reduction and containment, financial systems design, and banking relations/negotiations.  Industries have included electronics, equipment manufacturing, general construction, garment, hospital and nursing home furniture, medical healthcare products, software development, snack food packaging and distribution, direct mail and order fulfillment, and trucking and logistics.

Clients have included Peck Jones Inc. (Los Angeles based general contractor) during the reconstruction of the Beverly Hills Hotel; Barco of California (designer and distributor of professional uniforms) taking the lead during its turnaround; LH Research Inc. (manufacturer of integrated power supply units) taking the lead during its turnaround, sale, and resolution of employee 401(k); Sunrise Medical Inc.-Bio Clinic Corporation (manufacturer of air therapy beds and foam overlay products for the medical and consumer markets) during the restructuring, partial spin-off, and SEC and audit re-compliance for this major division of a NYSE company; Prepco Snack Foods during its downsizing and sale; Sound Source Interactive (software developer of children’s games) to develop a strategic business plan for the board and executive team of this public company; Sunrise Medical Inc.-Corona France completing a year end audit for the public parent company, all tax filings, and business turnaround with a strategic business plan going forward; Towne Inc. (direct mail, order fulfillment, warehouse management, and outsource printer) developing comprehensive quotation and cost system and provided requirements for ERP systems conversion; WorldPoint Logistics Inc. and Expedited Delivery Services completing the asset sale of trucking subsidiary and liquidation/resolution of residual assets and liabilities as well as leading the financial turnaround of parent company. 

Prior to his consulting career, Brink held several executive positions, including Vice President-Finance for the Rockford Corporation ($70 million consumer electronics manufacturer); Vice President-Controller for Fairchild Corporation ($500 million manufacturing supplier for commercial aerospace, industrial and communications services markets); Director of Finance and Worldwide Group Controller for AMCA International Inc.-Koehring Company ($1.4 billion company specializing in industrial and construction  products, farm implement equipment, as well as financing and engineering services).

Brink received a BBA from the University of Wisconsin, majoring in Finance and Accounting, an MBA from the University of Dayton, majoring in General Management, and completed a Senior Management Program from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.  He has been a member of Financial Executives International since 1983.
