Bill Pavony brings the broad perspective and maturity of more than 40 years of solid business experience to create solutions and sound strategies for multi-million dollar companies experiencing difficulties.  His expertise lies in his ability to evaluate, identify and resolve the needs for a company to experience its maximum potential. During his career he has held responsibility as a corporate officer for direction of the controllership, treasury, tax, information systems, warehousing & distribution, insurance & risk management, human resources, real estate and legal functions at various times for publicly and privately held companies with annual revenues ranging up to $1 billion. He began his career with 10 years consulting at Accenture, formerly Arthur Andersen & Co.’s consulting division, specializing in manufacturing clients such as Hershey Foods, Carrier Corporation and Exide Batteries. Throughout his numerous manufacturing assignments, many companies benefited from his cost accounting and inventory control proficiency.  He subsequently held corporate financial and administrative officer positions (generally as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer) over the next 20 years with 5 different publicly and privately held corporations with revenues ranging from $175 million to in excess of $1 billion. This inclcuded retail and manufacturing businesses as diverse as Zale Corporation (jewelry retail and manufacturing), Color Tile (retail, manufacturing and franchising), The Kobacker Company (retail shoe chain), Alexanders Department Stores (regional retail) and Purolator (auto parts manufacturing, courier and armored car services). During this period Pavony accomplished over $400 million in financings for his companies, made numerous SEC filings and upgraded and modernized the systems in all his companies.

With Purolator, Inc., an auto-parts manufacturing company, he held the position of Vice President/Controller.  He was responsible for accounting policies and procedures, internal controls and internal audits, cost accounting, budgets and financial planning. He also participated in acquisitions & divestures, and relations with outside auditors.  At Purolator Services, Inc., a division of Purolator, Inc., he was responsible to the CEO for all accounting policies and systems, federal and state regulatory reporting, long range planning and budgets, operational audits, income taxes, cash management and relations with outside auditors.

In recent years his consulting experience has included clients such as Finlay Jewelers, Baker Shoe, Sport Chalet, JCPenney Direct, BDS Marketing, Joseph-Beth Booksellers and Conlin's Furniture with projects that have ranged from development of strategic systems plans to RFP preparation and ERP software selection and installation, executive management metrics identification and reporting, as well as merger & acquisition evaluations, and turnaround & restructuring consulting.

Pavony graduated Cum Laude from Hofstra University with a B.B.A. in Accounting.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of Financial Executives International, having served as an officer and director of several chapters.
