During the last 35 years, William H. Pavony has created solutions and sound strategies to multi-million dollar companies experiencing challenges.  His expertise lies in his ability to evaluate, identify and resolve the needs for a company to experience its maximum potential.  He has held responsibility for direction of the controllership, treasury, tax, information systems, insurance & risk management, human resources, warehousing & distribution, real estate and legal functions for publicly and privately held companies with annual revenues ranging from $175 million to $1 billion.  Pavony has held significant positions during his career including Vice President, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), Controller and Senior Manager.

Pavony began his career with 10 years consulting at Accenture; formerly Arthur Andersen & Co.’s consulting division, specializing in manufacturing clients such as Hershey Foods, Carrier Corporation and Exide Batteries. Throughout his numerous manufacturing assignments, many companies benefited from his cost accounting proficiency.

Additionally, Bill has served as CFO, for the following companies: Zales (jewelry); Alexanders Department Stores; Color Tile (flooring); and The Kobacker Company (retail shoes).  As CFO he had primary responsibility for numerous SEC filings, and modernized and upgraded the financial systems in each of those companies.

With Purolator, Inc., an auto-parts manufacturing company, Pavony held the position of Vice President/Controller.  He was responsible for accounting policies and procedures, internal controls and internal audits, budgets and financial planning.  He also participated in acquisitions and divestures, and relations with outside auditors.  At Purolator Services, Inc., a division of Purolator, Inc., he was responsible to the CEO for all accounting policies and systems, federal and state regulatory reporting, long range planning and budgets, operational audits, income taxes, cash management and relations with outside auditors.

Pavony graduated Cum Laude from Hofstra University with a B.B.A. in Accounting.  He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and a member of Financial Executives International, having served as an officer and director of several chapters.  Additionally, Pavony is a member of AICPA, and the New York State Society of CPA’s.
